IAPP Data Protection

Why train and acquire an IAPP Certification?

It is a prerequisite of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) that organizations appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has estimated that more than 75,000 DPOs will be required.

The training sessions are not solely ‘test prep’ courses; they are appropriate for professionals with plans of being certified and persons with intentions of deepening their data protection knowledge. The training and exams are based on the same body of knowledge.

The Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E)  training encompasses the GDPR, ePrivacy laws, key data protection terminology, and practical concepts concerning protecting personal data and trans-border data flow. The program helps organizations worldwide bolster compliance and risk mitigation practices and arms practitioners with the insight needed to add more value to their businesses. The CIPP/E certification holds accreditation under ISO 17024: 2012.

The Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) teaches privacy practitioners everything they need to know concerning creating, monitoring, and implementing privacy programs within an organization. It prepares the professionals for tackling privacy issues as they come in their daily roles.

The Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)  certification validates your deep understanding of privacy in technology and enables you to apply what you have learned immediately to your daily workflow as a technology and data professional. Achieving certification validates your dual literacy in privacy and technology that translates around the globe. What’s more, IAPP certifications, including the CIPT, are widely hailed as the gold standard in privacy certification because they are also the only certifications in the industry accredited under ANSI/ISO specifications and recognized under standards set by the International Accreditation Forum.

Please, note that training sessions are held virtually.
