  2. Crafting an Effective Pitch Deck: Participants will explore the key components of a compelling pitch deck and how to communicate a startup's value proposition and market opportunity effectively. The module will provide insights into creating a persuasive pitch to attract potential investors.
  3. Financial Planning and Projections: This module will teach participants how to create accurate financial projections and forecasts for their startups. They will also understand the significance of financial metrics in presenting a compelling case to investors.
  4. Due Diligence Preparedness: Participants will understand the due diligence process and its significance in garnering investment. They will learn to organise company information and documents to facilitate investor scrutiny and build trust.
  5. Startup Valuation Methods: Participants will explore various valuation approaches suitable for early-stage startups. They will learn to determine an appropriate valuation that aligns with their fundraising goals.
  6. Market Analysis and Competitive Landscape: Participants will be guided in conducting market research to validate their startup's target market. They will also learn to analyse competitors and effectively differentiate their offerings to attract investor interest.
  7. Building Investor Relationships: This module focuses on strategies for identifying and connecting with potential investors. Participants will learn how to cultivate strong and lasting relationships with investors to support their startup's growth.
  8. Pitching and Presentation Skills: Participants will develop effective pitching techniques and public speaking skills to confidently present their startup to different categories of investors, such as angel investors, venture capitalists, and others. Mock pitch sessions will provide valuable feedback and opportunities for improvement.
  9. Practical assessments: Participants will analyse successful fundraising case studies, gaining valuable insights from real-world examples. Additionally, they will engage in hands-on pitching practice, receive feedback and refine their pitching skills.

Ridwan Oloyede ( FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM)

Ridwan Oloyede is the Co-Founder of Tech Hive Advisory, where he leads the technology policy team. He advises on the global aspects of cybersecurity policy, data protection and privacy laws, digital health and digital ethics. Ridwan is a Fellow of Information Privacy with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a Research Fellow at the African Academic Network on Internet Policy. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional in European Data Protection Law (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Ridwan is also an expert at the Data Protection Unit of the Council of Europe and an official IAPP training provider.

Diana Uzor(CIPP/E)

Diana is a certified privacy practitioner with experience in technology law, data protection advisory, corporate commercial, start up advisory, intellectual property advisory. Diana offers a range of services to clients including conducting product structure audits, advising on the commercialisation of intellectual property, conducting data protection audits, advising on compliance with all extant laws. She has a knack for spotting potential problem areas and offers legal services from the get-go to protect her clients from pitfalls and liability.  Diana is also a teacher, analyst and lifetime learner.

Senwelo Modise (FIP, CIPT, CIPP/E, CIPM, Security +)

Senwelo is a partner at Botlhole Law Group [In association with Neill Armstrong]. She leads the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications division at this corporate and commercial law firm. She specialises in technology law and is a subject matter expert in privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity. She is interested in blockchain, digital health, fintech, artificial intelligence, electronic evidence, digital rights, and technology to improve efficiencies in legal practice.
